A good man... A loyal friend, a dedicated USAID employee, a fearless international traveler, and the corner stone of our family. He taught me the meaning of Integrity, hard work, accountability, and countless other coveted human traits. He chose Easter Sunday, Mother's birthday, and the 1 year anniversary of her passing, to move on. And even though the end came swiftly, he was surrounded by key members of his family, his circle of friends, and his church. There was no doubt in anyone's mind that he was ready to be reunited with the love of his life, and deserved nothing less than a speedy, painless and "no muss, no fuss" transition.
Fear not, you are in good company, and I will see you both soon. In the meantime, I need to take care of a few things before I head out on this great adventure.
You will be missed, and will live on in some of my fondest memories

Another glitch
My father's health has taken a nose dive, so I have to postpone the departure date yet again. Christian is going on a side trip while I take care of a few things, and I will catch up with him either in DC or a bit further North. He has friends on the East coast, and will be able to do some exploring.

The time has come
The Durango has been christened "DANTE", and our months of preparation are winding down. We are READY... Departure tomorrow or Saturday. The first leg will have us 1 day in VA beach, 3 days in DC area, then Philly wed, Boston Thurs, and Augusta Maine on Fri/sat. We will cross into Canada soon thereafter.
